{Getting it together} Boulder Family Portrait Photographer

June 3, 2012

Ok, I am getting it together. I have made a resolution, and I am going to stick to it. That means: catching up on all the old photo work I have to catch up on (photography clients from BEFORE I was sick for so long this year), finishing new work that needs to be done (the Karma Baby website redesign), doing my 2011 books so I can sell Karma Baby (yes! I have several people that want to buy it, I just need to get the books together for my book keeper-that’s it-I don’t even have to do the books myself! And still, I procrastinate), and then being HEALTHY. This means actually sleeping every night (I am posting at, gasp-10pm-which means I am about to go to bed at a decent hour!), eating actual food (I literally just stopped eating when I got sick, so if I don’t go to the store and get the good stuff-Green Machine and Protein Boost-then I subside on coffee and diet coke-that is SO not good), getting actual exercise (instead of just considering cleaning up and chasing after my kids exercise). Really, there is so, so much more than just this. But, this is what I am going to start with. I am going to make a list tonight before I go to bed, and write down everything by the date I am going to get it done by. It is all stuff that, if I took a few days to just focus, I would get it all done and then I would feel so good and free and no one would be mad at me anymore.

Ok, I will check back in. For those of you who read my blog. Hold me accountable, ask me what I have done so far next time you see me.

I know, not my normal blog post, but I HAD to get this out, in writing, so that the intention is out there to the universe.

Off to snuggle my babies and get a good night sleep.

ps. how sweet is this photo? It was taken at Chautauqua in east Boulder and I just love how the flatirons look in the background and how it is just a boy and his dog, dreaming big dreams.

pps. when I get really behind and start to ignore all the things that really need to be done, what I do instead is create HUGE projects that are inspiring and full of fire and require mass amounts of work that one person could never possibly do all themselves but yet I try and then everyone thinks I am a superwoman but really I am NOT. Either way, I DID start this amazing, phenomenal new project and I can not wait to share it with everyone. It has to do with photography and photographers and is immense. That is all I am going to say for now until I get all my old stuff done. But let’s just say I AM going to announce it when every single thing is done on my list and not a day before. How’s that for motivation?
