It was such an honor when Danea of Little Green Bug Photography in the Bay Area scheduled a session with me.  It is always a little more pressure when photographing another photographer’s family, but they were such a blast! I just loved their outfits, and they had so much fun, even though is was a very dark and cold night. Sorry for the long wait on your sneak peak, Danea, we have been moving, and with two kids it has just been nutty! I have about 6 more sneak peaks to post from San Francisco! from San Francisco!

More from the mini sessions in the Bay Area! I just loved this family. I got to do two sessions with them. This first one was at Wunderlich Park in Woodside, Ca. The other was at the Golden Gate Bridge (sneak peak for those to come soon too!). I just loved all the props mom brought for this one-a radio flyer wagon, a “hot air balloon,” a tricyle. I wish we would have done a full session so that we really could have had time to play! Such sweet kids, and Kylie is so good to her little brother. More to come!

Jen, my wonderful friend from grad school, was so awesome to organize all these mini sessions for me in the Bay Area. It was so much fun planning with her and also getting to know her sweet little Novi, who is now three years old.  Dad was soooo sweet with Novi, too, you could tell they had the best connection. They actually did two sessions, more to come!

This was another mini session from the Bay Area with two beautiful little girls! I love their dresses, too! Mom found them on etsy.com, maybe she can send me the link to the crafter as I know that people will want to know where to find such cute dresses! Ava was such a good big sister. Even though Mia could not sit up yet she was a little trooper and sat and help her up for us as long as it took:)

Wow, isn’t she the cutest little girl? Gianna was just a doll, so happy wherever we set her down. This was a mini session-it was smack in the middle of mini sessions in fact, so it is all a little rushed and crazy, but she was calm and happy. I like mini sessions because people get an idea of what it is like to have custom photography done-it is very different than going to Sear’s and produces much different kinds of photos. Mini sessions are like a sneak peak of a real session.  In a normal session, the baby or child has time to warm up to me and relax, letting me capture those really true expressions that are just them. Gigi was great though, mellow and happy the whole time!

What a sweet, wonderful little family. They were so in love with Mia, and she was the happiest little girl. We shot these at Baker Beach, near the Golden Gate Bridge, on a very cold and foggy night. It was WAY past Mia’s bedtime, but she was still a little trooper and just had fun the whole time! I need to find out where mom gets these gorgeous dresses-Amelia will be needing some soon:)

Well, I *really* loved shooting this maternity session. It is the best when the couples I shoot are so in love, like this one. They just adored each other. Sigh. That is the way it should be. When I was 39 weeks, my hormones were through the roof, I was battling 100 degree weather, and was ready to just get the baby OUT. This couple, however, were so calm and happy and just ready to meet their baby. They were so laid back and relaxed, and it was such a nice afternoon just hanging out with them and talking. I did this shoot a couple weeks ago, and can’t wait to hear if the little one has arrived! I bet he (or she!) will be so beautiful! I can not wait! Newborn photos to come!

p.s-isn’t this the most perfect belly you have ever seen?

The sweetest little three year old ever! Lauren was so happy and alive during our entire mini session. It was amazing because she looks like my son’s age-5, but is only three and just carefree and so whimsical.  And dad really knows how to throw her up in the air. Love dads like that! many, many, many more blog posts to come in the next week! Did I mention I shot a wedding last night as well? Lots o’ pictures to come!

Here is another beautiful session from San Francisco! I did a combination of mini sessions (which are just a half hour) and some full sessions. This was a mini, and Alexander was as sweet as he could be.  We thought at first that he might not be so smiley, but mom and especially dad where able to get him to smile the whole time! Isn’t he just so beautiful?
