I was given the opportunity to shoot the cover for the next issue of Health and Wellness, a Colorado magazine. They wanted a photo of mom and baby looking straight ahead, and I realized that almost ALL of my mommy/baby photos show mom and baby interacting-kissing, snuggling, laughing at each other. I love to capture how precious babies are to their parents-and not necessarily just a good pic of mom. Know what I mean? I think that is why my clients choose me to be their family photographer-not because I can produce a stunning picture of them, but because I see how important they are to their baby and vice verse.  So, this was a little bit of a challenge for me. I had to resist the snuggling and go for “the look.”  To get this shot I grabbed the gorgeous girl that lives across the street from me (well, to be fair she is the girlfriend of the guy that lives across the street), and I put my own sweet baby in her arms and snapped this shot on the side of my house. Thanks Pete and Jamie for thinking of me! Oh, and doesn’t Amelia look like a glamorous cover girl? That is a Fuzzi Bunz cloth diaper she was wearing, for you fashion conscious readers.
