This truly wonderful woman, SarahKate, did the most beautiful piece of artwork on my 31-week-belly a few days ago.  I knew that I wanted a henna design to celebrate this pregnancy, but I did not realize how much I would enjoy having it done and having it on.  I felt pampered and cared for while she painted, and now, at a time when I was just starting to feel yucky and fat, I feel beautiful again.  Thanks SarahKate! This little girl was so sweet and so smart. I have never heard a 2 year old talk like her!  She is in LOVE with horses and unicorns, so we got a ton of shots with “Unis.”

I just got back from a short trip to the south to visit my parents and sister (and no, I am not from the south, I am from Chicago) and had to put up at least a couple photos of my sister’s perfect new baby,  Sophia.  I may post more in a few days, but only got about 10 minutes to shoot her:(   Wonder if my baby girl will look like her cousin?  I hope so, because she is the cutest four month old I have ever seen!

I tried an do a shoot with the mama below a few weeks ago and baby was just too fussy to get any decent photos out of it.  It was pure coincidence that she and her husband were taking a walk when we were doing this shoot.  I had dad throw on a mei tai and we got a couple cute pics.  Gotta love a daddy wearing his baby!

Yes, there was an actual baby in her carrier!  {see below} Her baby is just three weeks old and look at how thin and beautiful mama is!

…because, really, she is just the cutest thing ever!  I can’t believe how joyful and happy she looked in every photo.  Such a blessing for her parents, I am sure.

Because he is just so beautiful…

I had the privilege of shooting my friend and talented photographer, Julia Vandenoever’s newborn baby boy today.  Isn’t he just absolutely beautiful?  At five weeks, he was such a great baby and so sweet. It was so nice to bring my son and just relax and talk during the shoot.  Here are her maternity shots from just a couple months ago…

What a sweet, beautiful, peaceful little baby.  I try to photograph babies before their first week is over so that we can handle them more while they are sleeping, but this little one slept as much as we wanted, and never cried even once.  I always try to get at least one really good crying face/screaming shot for the parents (you want to remember that face, believe me), and she is the only baby I have had so far that did not make a peep other than to just look around at what was going on. Lucky mama.
